Assignment 1: Photogram

Experimenting with Religion

i like this one, n may probably choose this as my final piece. I went, "cool..." when i saw this. it justs makes people look closer... i like the fact that there seems to be something deeper (a real 3D effect). And as i look longer, i seem to find myself falling deeper into the frame. i dunno, i just feel so, n hope it gives others that feeling too...

3 Crosses

other random things i did with my cross necklaces...

My Last Supper

I got this idea when i was looking at the altar from the dining room, while i was having dinner. And the plague, with the last supper scene on it, just caught my attention. It just seemed quite funny in a way, that if i should use the plague for a plate, it brings the act of having a simple supper to a whole different level.

Self Assessment
I wasn't very pleased with this piece of work coz i think i didn't put in too much creativity into it. It looks too 'straight'. I did put thought into this, but maybe too much. And frankly, i think the execution part just was yuckie. I didn't know how to do the whole positive and negative film thingy, hence this result. The shadow's created from the inability to shut the scanner lid, allowing lights to escape inside.

the good thing about it though is that i'm really glad it expresses how i feel about religion and death. I shan't elaborate much but just some questions that came across my mind when constructing this piece.

Just some food for thought for those who have a religion.Does it take the remaining moments of your life for you to realise how much you need Someone higher to receive you when you go?

I think of myself... having my last supper... hopefully in the presence of God.

'POP'corn Supper

haha.. these are the pop art versions after i learnt to use the positive and negative film functions in the scanner. quite nice n simple!
